When is Taipei Zhongshan Hall Management Office open to the public?
Taipei Zhongshan Hall Management Office is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, except for one fixed date per month when it is closed for maintenance. The number of visitors will be regulated on days with scheduled performances.

How do visitors apply for guided tours?
Applications for guided tours will be accepted from groups with over ten visitors. Please make an appointment in advance by calling (02) 2381-3137 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting (02) 2381-3137 end_of_the_skype_highlighting ext. 105.

Where can I get a copy of the performance program of Zhongshan Hall?
The Zhongshan Hall performance program can be obtained at the tourist information desk or service counter at Taipei Main Station, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Taipei Cultural Center, the National Theater and Concert Hall, Novel Hall, any district office of the Taipei City Government, or the following locations in the Taipei Rapid Transit System: Ximen Station, Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, Beitou Station.

What is the main function of Zhongshan Hall?
Both Zhongzheng Auditorium and Guangfu Auditorium are venues for performing arts.

What kind of exhibition events would be held in Zhongshan Hall?
There was no appropriate facilities for exhibitions before, but after May 6th, there would be permanent exhibition at Zhongshan Hall.

When do applications need to be submitted for rental of Zhongshan Hall’s various performance venues?
Specific deadlines for submission of applications for Zhongzheng Auditorium are specified on a regular basis and publicly announced. Applications for use of Guangfu Auditorium and the Zhongshan Hall Plaza should be submitted one month prior to the date of use.

How has the application procedure for venue rental changed since the reopening of Zhongshan Hall?
After the reopening of Zhongshan Hall in January 2002, some changes have been made to the application procedure for rental of the performance venues. To apply for use of Zhongzheng Auditorium, it is necessary to submit a program proposal to be assessed by the program assessment committee. The performance dates will be determined according to the score of the assessment. Once the dates are decided, the artist or performing group needs to sign a contract with Zhongshan Hall in order to complete the rental process.

How can we submit the application online for rental of Zhongzheng Auditorium?
Online applications will not be accepted, as it is necessary to submit a “program proposal” and “audio portfolio” to be assessed by the program assessment committee. After the performance dates are determined, a contract needs to be signed by the applicants. An application form can be downloaded from the Zhongshan Hall website, but online applications will be not accepted.

What types of events are held at Guangfu Auditorium in Zhongshan Hall?
Guangfu Auditorium is usually used for cultural and artistic performances as well as academic activities, but can also be used for gatherings and meetings to promote the performing arts. Performing artists who apply to use Guangfu Auditorium for the purpose of “arts performances” can enjoy a 60% discount on the rental fee.

How could roller-skating, inline skating or skateboarding to be allowed in the Zhongshan Hall Plaza?
According to Article 16 of the “Management Regulations of Taipei Zhongshan Hall,” roller-skating, inline skating and skateboarding are prohibited in the Zhongshan Hall Plaza.

What is the application procedure for use of the Zhongshan Hall Plaza?
Applicants need to fill out an application form, an event proposal form (including venue layout plan and event schedule), submit a copy of their government registration permit or business license, and a cleanliness maintenance plan.

When are Zhongzheng Auditorium, Guangfu Auditorium and the Zhongshan Hall Plaza open for performances?
The hours of operation for each venue are as follows:
Zhongzheng Auditorium:
Mornings 9:00 to 12:00; Afternoons 13:00 to 17:00; Evenings 18:00 to 22:00
Guangfu Auditorium:
Mornings 9:00 to 12:00; Afternoons 13:00 to 17:00; Evenings 18:00 to 22:00
Zhongshan Hall Plaza:
Mornings 8:30 to 12:00; Afternoons 14:00 to 17:30; Evenings 18:00 to 21:30

Where are tickets sold for performances at Zhongshan Hall?
Tickets for performances at Zhongshan Hall can be bought at Zhongshan Hall ticket office at the front entrance. ERA Ticket and ArtsTicket online systems are available.

When are ticket office open for service each day?
The ticket office is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

Why does Zhongzheng Auditorium not allow the usage for award ceremonies, meetings or seminars?
According to Article 6 of “Management Regulations of Taipei Zhongshan Hall,” Zhongzheng Auditorium may not be used for formal events, ceremonies, commercial film screenings, or any meetings or lectures that are not related to the performing arts.
How should banquet events held at Guangfu Auditorium arrange food and refreshments?
Zhongshan Hall currently has no kitchen facilities; therefore, it is unable to provide any food or refreshments. It also prohibits renting parties from setting up their own kitchen or cooking facilities, but allows ready-made food to be brought into the auditorium, as long as cleanliness of the auditorium is well maintained.
