Introduction
Amongst the many self-identified and organised communities in progressive
Taipei, two distinct music ensembles stand out in their determination to use
the art of singing to present a collective ethos and commitment.
The Bleinders, the world’s only visual-impaired accapella, transcend their
disability and challenge perceptions by expressing to the world through
original compositions and choreography. The G-Major Chorus, formed 17
years ago when LGBT consciousness across Asia was still young, keeps its
resilience by pushing its artistic form and human agenda in its annual concert.
Come celebrate positive and passionate voices from the social margin, and
be moved by genuine camaraderie, as both ensembles sing together in a
rare and resounding finale!
