Introduction
"Provisional Alliance" is a role-playing forum on the 'distribution of art and
cultural resources'. Assuming that Taipei Arts Festival has now occupied
Zhong Shan Hall, we ask at this historically-charged site: how does active
social agency determine the life of an artistic proposal for a festival
commission? By re-enacting and parodying political scenarios, the
spectators will attempt to redress 'standard' deliberation processes. Under
the spectacle of democracy, what and whom do we exclude in/from art?
