Introduction
This performance is not only a musical theatre for children but also a fable
story for adults. The director adopts “vision as the means to portray music” as
the main performance direction. Instructor Huang Lian Yu is the dedicated
narrator of (Farm Owner). The four main characters (cow, dog, cat, chicken)
don’t speak (lines) and instead use music to express their thoughts and ideas.
The rest of the characters use simplistic lines to advance the story. Music was
placed within the plays most important elements.
